Presence on Twitter

This website is of course the main platform for Project-Aria.  However, I am also actively participating on Twitter.

If you are on Twitter, and interested in Project Management on Twitter, take a look!

You can find Project-Aria on twitter at the following address:

https://twitter.com/PMProjectAria

I find Twitter interesting to discover some useful articles on various subjects that interest me.  For Project-Aria, I am mostly seeking information relating to project management, leadership and productivity.  Over there, you will find that I engage in the conversation with

  • Personal messages on project management, leadership and productivity
  • Retweets of good tweets from good sources on project management, leadership and productivity.
  • Some other non-related but interesting retweets, mostly motivational and quotes.

I try to ensure there are activities from me every day, except when I am on vacation.  My target is about 6-8 tweets per day.

Behind the scenes

I’d like to share the main tools that I am using to manage the tweeter account.  I do access Twitter sometimes from their website, but most of the time it is on the go, during transit.  Of course, transit means public transit as nobody should try to read or manage their social media accounts while driving.

My main tool is my iPhone.  I love what it lets me do while being on the go, waiting somewhere, accompanying my kids to an activity, etc.

Zite

zite

Zite is a great application to find content.  I like the design of the application, and also the features that let me tweet, email or even save to Pocket (see below).

March 2014 Update: Flipboard acquired Zite and all services have been transferred to Flipboard.

Pocket

Pocket is my favorite app to save and read articles later.  Others are available such as Instapaper, but I have been using mostly Pocket.  When I see article that I’d like to read later, or even use for a post on the website, I save it in Pocket, and find it back when I have time to manage Project-Aria.

In closing

Of Course, there are many other interesting accounts to follow.  I am currently following 225 accounts (however not all of them are very active).  If you are on Twitter, take a look at Project-Aria on Twitter, and also the accounts covering project management, leadership, and productivity that I am following.

Now it is time for me to go on Twitter and see what I others are saying and what I can learn.
